sara MEDINA

Artist and Photographer.

Sara Medina Rodríguez (Madrid, 1997) studied Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid, where she made personal projects through experimentation with materials, developing her own style through embroidered cyanotype.

After graduating she moved to Barcelona where she studied Documentary Photography. She is currently focusing on new pictorial projects on the relationship between the body and the wound.

In January she exhibited her project 'The muse who abandoned being modelling to become an actress', a series of embroidered cyanotypes where classical paintings and sculptures appear as figures of self-representation. And the embroidery that works as a scar and metaphor about how to heal the wound.
